Very laggy on my iPad air

I understand that game setting is underground mines and all, but does it necessarily must be sooo dark.. Even while playing in total darkness its not so easy to see everything around. And its completely impossible to play in daylight. Maybe on retina phones it looks better. Otherwise game is quite interesting. Please, dear developers, "reimagine" this game.

WOW. 1 word, EPIC. Easily one of the best games for the iPhone. Stunning graphics. Great gameplay. And super smooth control. I am thoroughly impressed, and highly recommend it to anyone!! Well worth the money. Great game!!

This game is boring and you can barely see unless you turn the brightness really high.

This game is probably the worst game I have played on my phone.... Its super boring, all you do is fly around in a cave trying to collect minerals... No action,etc.. Also the cave is pitch black, you cant see a thing, they could have made the cave brighter or something... So dumb..

Too tedious to really warrant investing more time. The game environment is too dark and as a result i spent too much time squinting to see what i was bumping into. Also there needs to be some kind of current goal meter/readout to tell the player how many goals completed/unfinished>>so we dont waste our time heading to the jumpgate only to have to turn right back around and fumble in the dark for that missing mineral Cmon devs..... Give us something we can really sink our teeth into

This, my friends, is the best game in the history of all games. I grew up with Famicom and have seen everything. From quarters in my pocket to lost hours on consoles. Nothing beats the thrill and attention to detail of Gene Effect. I would gladly pay more money for this. Get it! Dont regret it!

Good game, but loses stars because it isnt optimized for he retina display. Not acceptable for a game that relies so heavily on its graphics.

Im shocked to see only 7 reviews. This game has the potential for many many more review (well in the hundreds)! This game is beautifully designed and the colors are rich! The soundtrack is dark (like a mix of Tron and The Dark Knight). The controls are much better that of the previous version. The storyline is VERY interesting! As for gameplay....... well...... it is repetitive and finding those special ARTIFACTS can be very VERY difficult to collect. Never the less, keep an open mind to this game and IT WILL ENTERTAIN YOU! Note: Please add a strategy guide onto your website. I would like to collect all artifacts and relics. Thank you

Wonderful engaging game. I love the fact that is so easy to control the triton. The graphics alone are worth it. The music is a nice touch to the atmosphere. If you enjoy adventure games please get this now !!!!Its a relax game that lets you explore and enjoy every second. I love smart adventure games, and this I can honestly say is on my top 3 games. If you like waking mars get this. I cant believe how cool and smart this game is.

Great-looking game has an excellent look to it. The feel of piloting a mining vessel around alien caverns is really cool and evokes classic-gaming goodness of 2D exploration. However it falls short in the writing - too much detail no one cares about and not enough clarity regarding essential game functions. Also several points that are frustratingly difficult can leave you stuck. Potential for excellence, but unpolished.

Its a strong,detailed game with an interesting storyline and challenging puzzles. No bugs,runs very smoothly on my iPod 4,just a fun game. But puzzles do take time to complete,and some are frustrating at times. But this is a overall fine game. But I think it should just be 0.99¢. Not 4$. if you like waking mars, youll like this!

I just got this game today for free and I have to say "Wow!" Great story fun immersive gameplay and really smooth controls and really nice graphics. I would have paid a couple of bucks for this one.

Great controls, superb sound effects. Enjoyable and engaging game. Runs smooth on my new ipad and the ipad2.

BY FAR THE BEST GAME IVE PLAYED IN A LONG TIME!! Hint: go to settings, turn UP brightness(all the way up), and turn on effects enhancer if u have newer version iPad. THIS GAME IS SOOOOO BEAUTIFUL!!!! Will be #1 very soon!! Such a masterpiece!! Baba booey!
